I need to know through VC++ code, if oracle server is alive or connection of client to server is Okay?
Any suggession would be appreciated.

Hi,

I don't know VC++, so I cannot help with the syntax. Nevertheless, here is what you need to do:

Ping the server to see it is up. If so, try to connect to the DB on the server. If the connection is successful, it is up, else it is down.
