hi i set scheduler to run each half hour to connect different servers and collect some data
but when i am trying to connect the db in my SERver
i am getting this ora-12500 listener failed to start a dedicted server.how to resolve it.i checked with other site but they indicating resource utilization is high that the reason this error comming
i am not running any other applications

hi
first check out the status of listener with the help of LSNRCTL command.
and you said that your not running any applications,
but you can shutdown all the other services which is not required for your operations.
B.cos even if your not running the application their services will be running at background
