hello

i am trying to connect thru sqlplus to database as sys but giving insufficient privilege
sys/password@connectstring
i am using same software different copy oralce(same version) in different system but i am able to connect thru that db ordinary user i given sysdba to that user again trying thru my machine its giving insufficient priviliges bit curious.The thing i am using same version of oracle
but same software with different copy in different host. host string is correct pls hlp whether we need connect as sys to use full funtioning in OEM
pls help

On the server where the DB is which you can't connect as SYS to, create a password file or try granting SYSDBA to SYS.

Search for "orapdw"
