I am new to Oracle, do i need any 3rd part software, or any other software to use partitioning tables feature in oracle8i on hp unix.

Hi,

You need to install Oracle EE (Enterprise Edition)
with the Partitioning Option. Please note that you
need separate licenses for the Partitioning Option.

No you do not need any 3rd party software to create a partitioned table.

Look at Oracle Doc and get some examples or use OEM.

And as Frank mentioned, you need to have installed a Enterprise Edition of Oracle8i.
