I installed an 8i client on the user's network client, then, installed the Application Client (which is written in PB). Tested the application and it worked fine -- under my network login.

When the user logs in and tries to use the PB client, he gets an ORA-12631 error.

What are the possible scenarios (maybe the Top 3) that would cause this error on a Windows AD network?

One further bit of information -- I'm also the OU Admin for our container on Active Directory.

TIA,

Steve

I've been getting same error message when Oracle tries to authenticate OS (external user) from the domain.

I suspect that this is something to do with Local Security Policy setting but I don't know exactly what it is. I'm still researching.

If you have any kind of solution please post. Thanks.

You are completly right...just a # in front of every line and it works!

Note: For a long time no issues with the connection, All these happened after a TOAD re-installation.
