Hi,
I'm trying to start the oracle server 8.1 on windows 2000 with service pack 4 without result.

I tried to start the server as service, failed.

I tried to start the server with svrmgrl, failed with the following output:

Oracle Server Manager Release 3.1.6.0.0 - Production

ORA-12560: TNS : erreur d'adaptateur de protocole
SVRMGR> startup
LCC-00161: Message 161 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=MGR

Hi

1) Send ur TNSNAMES.ora and LISTNER.ORA.
2) start>regedit>

In this search for ORACLE_SID,after u get
send the value assign to this Enviorment varaible
