Hi there,

I am having the ORA-00600 error, and from what i read on the faq, i need to patch my engine (8.1.7.0) to 8.1.7.4 in order to resolve the problem.

Can anyone tell me where to find this patch?!? i have looked everywhere and i cant find it :-(

Thanks, but i dont have ORACLE support, is this the only place where i can get it for sure?
I only want to see if the patches resolve my problem (ORA-00600 ERROR).

I dont know anyopther place where i can load the patchset.
post your exact ora-600 error, oracle versions, OS, occurance and events.
we'll give a try.

here it goes:

Oracle Version: 8.1.7.0.0
OS: Windows 2k

the error description that i have is:

"ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [[insexe-2]],[[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]]
ORA-24381: error(s) in array DML"

I am using OCI Bulk insert funcionality. This happens when i try to insert a set of 30 entries in my table. I think that it only happens after some entries have already been inserted (like 1000 entries).

anything u need more just ask, thanks a lot for your help

seems to be a bug when u use OCI_BATCH_ERRORS.
You have to apply the higher patchset!

Yes it is, i found some web pages describing this problem.
I want to thank u for your help, and i am going to leave here the link for the patches to resolve this and other problems with Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 release.
