Hi all!

We are having a problem with ports when connecting to an Oracle database running on a W2000 system. When you connect to it with SQLplus it connects with port 1521, but then it does the communications through another port. This is a big issue when configuring firewalls.
I'm asking this to you because we are running more Oracle database on AIX systems and these only use 1521 port, so there are no problems with firewalls.
The question is "is there any way to fix the port used on windows systems?" or almost the same "can I avoid the use of different ports than 1521 when connecting to Oracle on Windows?"

Thanks in advance.

This is windows registry paramter.
set the following in the windows registry.
reboot the machine. Now the the port redirections will be handled.
