Hi:
We have a big problem with that error.We have Oracle 9.0.1 in a production enviroment. We have a process continually inserting data in a database. When a dba extended the data tablespace appeared that error. We have a big quarrell trying to determine what caused the problem. One side, the programmer says that the line of the program that cuaused the error was an insertation of a register with a BLOB field. The question is: Can an extension of a tablesapce interfere with an insertation of a register with a BLOB field. Does the dba have to put the tablespace on offline mode to performe the tablespace extension?

No need. It can be done online.
