Installed oracle database : c:oracleora92
Developer tools : c:
1. First installed the database
2. We were able to connect to sql plus
3. Installed the developer tools
4. Could not connect to the sqlplus
it gives the following error message :
ORA-12560 TNS: Protocal adaptor error

oracle server ( database) and oracle tools are to be installed in different oracle homes ( by defualt it will be done).
so, there will be two different tnsnames.ora files
Make sure, u have tnsentries in the right tnsnames.ora
and
make sure u have right ORACLE_SID and use tcp/ip

After installing oracle we are facing a problem TNS Protocol adaptor error . Can you help me for solving this problem.
