I've installed Oracle 9iR2 on my RHAS 2.1 server but nothing comes up automatically. No databases, no listeners, nothing.

Isn't there supposed to be a "dbora" script ors omething that starts this stuff up? If so, there isn't one on MY system.

edit your oratab file to add entries.
and there are scripts in $ORACLE_HOME/bin
dbstart and dbshut.
call these scripts in your regular startup / shutdown scripts in server
