Gurus,

Good day!

I would like to inquire if we can recreate a single database currently deployed in a separate
server (Solaris 10, Oracle Database 10g R2) to an ODA server?
Also, I would like to validate the ff:

1. Is there a compatibility issue in a Solaris-vs-Unix platform?
2. Can we install multiple database versions (Oracle 9i & Oracle 10g)?
3. In my understanding since it's a clustered environment,
configurations/migrations we made from Node1 will also be reflected to Node2.
Am I right?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Yes, no, it depends upon what is done.
You can expdp from Solaris & impdp on *NIX

I give up.
Can you?
Do you have necessary installation media/files for each Oracle version for target OS?

@BlackSwan,

Sir, thanks for your prompt reply.

In addition, there is currently an Oracle 11g R2-11.2.0.3.0 database already installed on it.
Does it applies that the Oracle 10g database we will import to the ODA server will be upgraded to an Oracle 11g version?

Since we have an installation CDs for Oracle 9i R1-9.0.1.0 & Oracle 10g R2-10.2.0.4.0 for Linux platform.
Does it mean we can install multiple ORACLE HOMEs at the ODA server?

Thanks again.

I doubt old Oracle versions are certified on new OS version, therefore if/when it does not work; then You're On Your Own (YOYO)!
