Hi

How do I create a database fast on a windows platform?
I need to make a fast scripted installation of a database for using at customers and testenvironments.
Because IŽve need to change the SID and the database is not empty, I think of using raw datafiles with Oradim and then extend the tables. What do you think about that? is it posible or is there a smarter way to do it?

TNX

although these are Unix implementations - take a look at them:

For an easy GUI approach - run dbassist

Hi
TNX but its to slow to do an import, because IŽll need an instance first and with Intermedia it takes a lot of time on Win platforms.
How do Oracle create the database from CD-rom in their Database Conf. assistant? its damn fast!

TNX.
