net 8.0 config does not working in pentium4 with window 2000 [message #53284]

I use oracle 8.0.6 with pentium4, window2000.
I installed oracle 8.0.6. However, I can't activate
net8.0 config to connect to server.
Is there any patch for pentium4 processor?

what kind of error are u geting?
check the logs and event viewer.
can you invoke net8? if not install it again
the common workaround with p4 processers
is

1. Copy the entire CD to a temp directory in Harddisk
2. look for the filename symcjit.dll.
3. Rename each copy of the symcjit.dll to symcjit.old.
4. Run the setup.exe from the Harddisk.
