Dear All,

I am facing problem using oracle 9i, My db_buffer_cahce is 40 MB, shared pool 50 MB large poo is around 3 MB. There are concurent 5-6 users are accessing database. All these are firing queries which are giving heavy burden by using update, delete and insert statement. Every query is update, deleting or inserting 10000-20000 records. Many time serve gives following message:

ORA-04031: unable to allocate 76156 bytes of shared memory ("large pool","unknown object","hash-join subh","kllcqc:kllcqslt")

The OS is win NT on IBM machine. I would like to know, is my parameter are correct or I have to change them. Please give solution on this.

U better increase the shared pool size if u have the luxury to do so..

Thanks, but after increasing size of shared pool, still the performance is slow, any solution.

Increasing the shared pool doesn't always solve this errors. Better ways of doing it could be to Pin objects in shared memory or Set up shared_pool_reserved_size
