I am trying to install oracle 8.1.7 on RedHat Linux 7.2 ,I have set the Environment for the Oracle account.
There is no response after running the installer.The below meessage was displayed after running the installer and it comes to the shell prompt.

$/mnt/cdrom/runInstaller
Initialising Java Virtual Machine from ../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8/1/DataFiles/Expanded/linux/bin/jre

There is more to be done before you install 8.1.7 on RedHat 7.2.
