I am looking to use a set of temporary tables (about 5) to accomplish an import routine (among other things). I am considering using a naming convention of : USERID_TABLENAME where the USERID is the ID that the user logged into the app as. My question:

Will Oracle handle the creation and deletion of these tables (approx 100 concurrent users) on a dynamic basis?

They will be created and dropped often. Thanks in advance for any help!

you can create a pl/sql routine to create tables dynamically, given you supply the user_id's to the procedure. Check out the dbms_sql package for dynamic sql..
