Hi,

I ve a Oracle8i and an Oracle9i connection pools in my Bea Weblogic Server 5.1.

I ve been told to upgrade the drivers, to the Oracle9i.

But I cannot use two different OCI drivers at the same time to create Connection pools in a single server.

And a WebLogic jDriver for Oracle 9i is not available for WLS 5.1. Its only available for WLS6.1SP2 and above.

So I ve been recommended to use the Oracle thin driver from Oracle to connect to the 9i database.

And in my weblogic properties give the url and driver as:

url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@9imachinename:port:SID, driver=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver,

THE PROBLEM IS I CAN NOT FIND ANY ORACLE 9I THIN DRIVERS, I WAS LOOKING FOR IT... BUT COULD ONLY FIND ORACLE 9i thin JDBC driver for Mac OS X !!!!

pleas can you help me???

Well,

Its only to visit the oracle.com and enter the download area. (you will need to register a user if dont have one, but that goes quick).
You will find the O9i JDBC package, and that includes the thin driver! :)

good luck!

Yes, it's there, but not listed separately as "thin". Just click on the regular drivers and you'll have a thin option on the download page after you login
