Hi
I have a big problem when installing ORACLE 8 in WINDOWS 2000 SERVER.
While in progress, the installation interrupts with
the error message "Unable to delete the NT Service
for SQL *NET V2 Listner"
If anyone has the answer please contact me in my

sounds like a permission issue. you need to belong to the admin group on that machine.

I have had the following errors when istalling oracle8i on windows 2000 server running on compaq pentium III platform:

ORA 03113: end of file on communication channel

when I choose the option to ignore the error then another error

ORA 03114: not connected to oracle

again when I ignore the error it brings another error

ORA 01012: not logged on

Please can anyone give me help especially o the pre-installation preparations.

I am the administrator of the system in the Institure of Computer Science Makerere University and I need Oracle database configured and running as it is used for teachinf database systems.

Please help!!!!

Try to install your oracle server before any service packs ...

W2k servicepack2 is a killer ....
