Respected Sir,

I have done as per instruction i.e using oradim80 deleted the old sid and created a new one.But it is giving the same problem i.e
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
when i am going to connect as sysdba with sys user or as internal.

I have logged on to the O/S using a general user.Whether I have to log on as administrator??I think after installation I have to do related to administrator group...

What to do??

Please help...

With regards,
Arindam.

u don't need to be an o/s administrator to use INTERNAL or SYS account..

check these..

delete the service using ORADIMXX

--wait for a few minutes

create the service using ORADIMXX

--wait for a few minutes

set oracle_sid=ursid

start SVRMGRXX

connect internal/pwd -- which u give while executing oradimXX command..

note that oradimXX returns u the prompt but works at the background..wait for a few minutes before executing the next..u also check the process by opening the task manager..

if this didn't work..tell the order u follow..
